Day 3

And what a day it has been.

Woke up off and on in the plane listening to old Lauryn Hill and watching bits and pieces of Olympus has Fallen.

Had a wonderful conversation with a guy named Klaus about yesterday's election in Australia. Seems the conservative party is in full control now and he wasn't happy. Perhaps some good fuel for the workshops.

Had a 3am breakfast and arrived in Brisbane at 5am for a 2 hour layover. I have to say that Qantas Airlines can teach the others a thing or two.

Arrived in Sydney one hour later.

Met up with the driver and Rory Golden and was taken to the apartment on Manly Beach.
Ed Woodham was already there upon arrival.

The apartment is beautiful and sits across from the beach that is covered in volleyball nets and surfers. Keeping in mind it is the first week of Spring here.

Felt very Australian.
The vegetation here is wonderfully tropical with "bird of paradise" and bougainvillea flowers everywhere. This shot is off the patio.

Came back to the apartment and caught the ferry through the Gap to Sydney.

This is certainly the way to be introduced to Australia's largest city passing the iconic Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Exited the ferry and walked around for a few hours up Macquarie Street to Hyde Park.

Some architectural detail in Old Sydney.

Came to Hyde Park and the beautiful Anzac War Memorial.

View of Hyde Park's Anzac War Memorial with the Sydney Tower Eye rising in the background.

It is perfect weather here. Breezy and about 70 degrees. Came upon some words of wisdom on Oxford Street.

The ferry ride back to Manly.

Exhausted and back to the apartment stopping for some Thai in the Corso.
What a day.
